The picture tells a story, somehow. It makes you intrigued in knowing what's happening. :o I love this actually. It would be ideal for a science fiction movie poster or something.

I think the image in the sphere needs more fish-eye effect. It looks too flat.

wtf man ... I work with 3D renders, I do photography, I do photomanipulation, ... but this is some sick shit.
Awesome.

My guess is that you took both pictures, and applied the second one on a sphere as a material ; or distorted it in PS to get a sphere.
Anyway, it's amazingly done.
